Tears with my coffee
A soldier walked into starbucks this morning dressed in his uniform and ordered a coffee. The man who had just received his drinks at the bar walked up to him, shook his hand and said: “Thank you so much for all you do”.
It was one of the kindest acts I had seen up close in the longest time and tears immediately filled my eyes. With all the craziness, drama, and everyday crap that goes on, there are people out there who are willing to sacrifice their lives for us on a daily basis. And sometimes remembering that sort of freedom, makes you thankful for all you have.
So today I am thankful for the soldiers, coffee, and the tissues I had to blow my nose into after crying in starbucks.

This happened while I was in an airport terminal this summer except sub an adorable older veteran for the soldier. Same reaction.
